Former Houston Oilers Linebacker Lamar Lathon is claiming that a Pearland Police Officer pulled a gun on him during a traffic stop at FM 2234 and Almeda on Monday (Aug. 31) evening.
The Pearland Police Department is conducting an internal investigation, including reviewing officer involved and checking his dash cam and body camera footage before commenting on Lathon’s claim.
Lathon’s criminal history includes two misdemeanor assaults and a family violence charge in the past 20 years, for which he received deferred adjudication, which includes paying a fine and attending defensive driving classes.
Pearland Police are expected to release a statement in the next few days after the internal investigation is completed.
