PRESS RELEASE
Frost Bank, located at 11201 West Broadway, was robbed by an unknown suspect at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Thursday (Oct. 8). A black male entered the bank, pointed a black pistol at the teller and demanded money.
The suspect is in his 40’s to 50’s, approximately 5’10”, and 200 – 220 lbs. He wore black clothing and a black cap during the offense. He had a loose-fitting foodservice type glove on one hand while he brandished a pistol in the other.
The suspect bore a strong resemblance and committed the robberies in a similar manner to the suspect who committed two other bank robberies in Pearland within the last year. One of those robberies was the same Frost Bank location that had been robbed on December 16, 2014.
Unlike the two previous occurrences, the suspect climbed over the counter to the teller’s area. This indicates that the suspect has become more brazen and the potential for violence may escalate.
The Pearland Police Department urges anyone with information on any of these crimes, or the identity of the suspect, to contact Detective E. Morton at 281.997.4142 or emorton@pearlandtx.gov. Anonymous tips for a cash reward can be provided to Brazoria County Crimestoppers at 800.460.2222 or via their website at brazoriacountycrimestoppers.com. Information leading to an indictment or arrest will result in a cash payment from Crimestoppers.
